BRING BEATBOXING TO YOUR SCHOOL!
Beatboxing is a growing art form that is built on expanding one’s vocal abilities and collaborating with other artists. As a classically trained vocal performance major myself, there wasn’t a lot of room for improvisation and on-the-spot creation. Through beatboxing, students discover a brand-new way to compose music that they can begin in an instant. Throughout my beatbox curriculum, students will learn the history of beatboxing, the unlimited mediums it can be partnered with - dance, instruments, voice, spoken word, etc.- microphone technique, proper stage presence, composing a beatbox piece, and much more. They’ll also acquire strength and flexibility from beatboxing that translates directly to producing sound with their voice and proper breath support.
Developing rhythmic and vocal skills, fostering teamwork with others, and enhancing public speaking capabilities are just some of the experiences that beatboxing can bring to your program!
